Showtime at MINExpo®: Meet With Mining Specialists From 17 Foreign NationsU.S. companies exhibiting at MINExpo® will have the opportunity to meet with mining specialists of the U.S. Commercial Service to talk about how they can tap into some of the world’s major mining markets. The Showtime program provides opportunities for one-on-one appointments with mining specialists from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey and Ukraine. For your convenience, all mining specialists will be in Room N249 of the Convention Center, adjacent to the International Business Center. Meetings, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon. U. S. exhibiting companies (companies with 51 percent or greater U.S. content) who are interested in learning more about Showtime or registering for appointments can go to www.buyusa.gov/pittsburgh/minexposhowtime.html. There is no fee for participation in the program. The deadline for registering for Showtime is Monday, Sept. 8. Once you have registered, a copy of the registration will go directly to the U.S. Commercial Service mining specialist for each market you selected. If you have a specific question or topic that you would like addressed, please note these on the registration form. In some cases, the mining specialists will have their overseas buying delegation with them at the meetings. Information on these delegations will be available at the International Business Center and at the Showtime room. A large number of U.S. exhibiting companies are expected to participate in Showtime, and all requests for meetings may not be able to be accommodated, so exhibitors should list the top three countries of interest on your registration form. Preregistered Showtime participants will receive confirmation of their appointments via email during the week of September 15. Showtime staff also will stop by your booth on the first day of the show.
