U.S. FOREIGN COMMERCIAL SERVICE DELEGATION REGISTRATION

The Registration site for delegations organized by the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service will close at 12:01 a.m. EST Wednesday, September 17, 2008.  After that day, any new registrations, changes or deletions must be done at on-site registration located in Hall N2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. 

The leader of each delegation has been provided with a password to register delegation members.  If you have not received your password, please e-mail Moya Phelleps at mphelleps@nma.org.

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2008 is pleased to be part of the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service’s International Buyer Program.  As part of MINExpo’s commitment to the program, the registration fee is waived for all members of a delegation that has been organized the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service.  The complimentary registration to MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2008 includes exhibits and all conference sessions.  Information on the tours offered during MINExpo® are available on the web site. Tickets may be purchased on-line through the MINExpo web site or on-site at the Las Vegas Convention Center.    

Delegation leaders may register each delegation member on-line and access each delegation member’s registration information to make changes/cancellations/additions during the months leading up to MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2008. These changes can be made until 12:01 a.m. EST on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. At that time on-line registration will close and changes then must be made at on-site registration, located in Hall N2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2008 includes a matchmaker program that allows delegation members to indicate which products they want to see at the show and then get a list of companies exhibiting those products.

Delegation members can participate in the matchmaker program in two ways:

  1. Prior to September 17, Delegation Leaders may download a registration form which includes a list of products to be exhibited at MINExpo and provide the form to delegation members. Delegation members then complete the form (including indicating those products they wish to see) and return it to Delegation Leaders. Delegation Leaders then provide the product information when they register each delegation member.

    Then, approximately four weeks prior to the show, each delegation member will receive an e-mail from show management which lists the exhibitors that will display the products the delegation member wishes to see. The e-mail also will include links to exhibitors’ web sites, providing an important opportunity to learn more about the exhibitors and products prior to the show.
  2. Delegation members may come to the International Business Center at MINExpo and fill out a form there indicating which products they are interested in seeing and, in return, get a list of the exhibitors displaying those products.

BADGES FOR DELEGATION MEMBERS WILL NOT BE MAILED. EACH DELEGATION LEADER WILL BE CONTACTED BY MINEXPO INTERNATIONAL 2008 TO SCHEDULE A TIME TO PICK-UP THE DELEGATION BADGES AT ON-SITE REGISTRATION LOCATED IN HALL N2 AT THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER. ALL DELEGATION BADGES MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE DELEGATION LEADER ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21. REGISTRATION HOURS WILL BE FROM 10:00 – 16:00 HOURS.

Picking up delegation badges before the show opens on Monday, September 22 will provide you with time to make any necessary changes to badges and permit delegation members to visit the International Business Center.

Copies of the Export Directory, on CD-ROM, will be available in the International Business Center (IBC). The IBC will have translators (Spanish, French, German, Russian and Chinese), internet access, meeting rooms, access to the Matchmaker Program and limited copying facilities.
